🌿 Palm Sunday Reflection: God’s Plan is Greater Than Our Expectations 🙌

As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, where crowds waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 21:9).

At that moment, the people expected a political savior—someone who would overthrow Roman rule and restore Israel’s earthly kingdom. But God’s plan was far greater. Jesus didn’t come to conquer Rome—He came to conquer sin and death!

> This Palm Sunday, let’s reflect on God’s greater plan. For a deeper dive, watch my short devotional on.

When God’s Plan Surprises Us

How often do we pray for something, only to find that God answers in a way we never expected? The crowd wanted immediate freedom, but Jesus offered **eternal freedom**.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

We may pray for healing, breakthrough, or a specific outcome, but God sees the bigger picture. His plan is always greater, wiser, and more perfect than what we could imagine.

Trusting God’s Timing

This Palm Sunday, let’s reflect:

- Are we trusting God’s plan, even when it doesn’t match our expectations?

- Do we believe that His timing is perfect, even when we’re waiting?

The people who shouted “Hosanna!” on Sunday would later cry “Crucify Him!” on Friday… because Jesus didn’t meet their expectations. But God’s plan was still unfolding.

Three days later—Resurrection Sunday—proved that His way was best.

A Call to Surrender

Today, let’s surrender our own plans, fears, and doubts to the One who holds all things in His hands.

🗝️ Key Thought:

"Hosanna! Salvation belongs to the Lord!"

Whatever you’re praying for, trust Him. His plan is worth the wait.

🙏 Prayer:

“Lord, help me to trust Your plan, even when I don’t understand. Give me faith to believe that Your ways are higher than mine. This Palm Sunday, I surrender my expectations to You. Hosanna in the highest! Amen.”
