  As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, where crowds waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 21:9).   At that moment, the people expected a political savior—someone who would overthrow Roman rule and restore Israel’s earthly kingdom.
